Lymphedema FAQ

When you find out that you have Lymphedema, you have a lot of questions.  When searching on the internet for those answers, it’s hard to figure out what is normal. 

Here I’ve tried provide both explanations for both what Lymphedema is and what is common, as well as where you can go for further reliable information.

If you have just been diagnosed with lymphedema – above all, don’t freak out.  The condition is manageable, and with good management, you don’t end up looking like the pictures on the internet.  Good management means getting regular lymphatic drainage (lymphatic massage) and wearing compression every day.
