WHY The big difference in pricing for PACKAGE DEALS
Purchased with Cash vs Card?
This is a great question. Let me explain.
- Many people do not realize the steep fees charged to businesses by credit card services.
- These fees that are paid for by the business enable people to get credit card miles, cash-back, etc.
- Most businesses simply raise prices across the board to account for these hefty fees.
- Instead of raising prices, I offer cash discounts because it saves me money and, I’m able to pass those savings on to my loyal customers.
My cash discounts apply to returning clients, because I truly appreciate their loyalty.
Cash discounts are not offered for the first visit because it would be a logistical nightmare with people trying to swing by in between appointments to pre-pay their visit.
WHY IS LYMPHATIC MASSAGE more EXPENSIVE than regular massage?
I get this question a lot.
It’s a fair question.
Thanks for letting me explain.
Lymphatic Massage is actually not massage.
(I know, it’s all over my website – but that is what people search for.)
“Lymphatic Massage” is properly referred to as Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
It is actually a totally separate discipline that has nothing at all to do with traditional massage,
and is a skill that should be learned through a separate type of extensive training.
Shannon Goins-Blair, holds the highest credential in the
discipline of lymphatic therapy, LANA-Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
Very few massage therapists receive this level of training.
By contrast, most massage therapists who claim to offer lymphatic massage
have only had a couple of hours of training in an introductory course
oftentimes entirely online with no hands-on practice.
(This includes spas around town that charge upwards of $300-400 per session!)
Why should you care?
In this discipline, correct technique and years of experience
make a world of difference in the results that you will see –
and safety in your treatment (especially if you are
recovering from recent surgery
or have a condition such as
lymphedema or lipedema).
Trust your health to the expert in true lymphatic therapy.
