PEMF Therapy Benefits
PEMF therapy benefits have been shown in a number of double-blind studies ranging from arthritis to bone regeneration to trauma healing (including surgery).
PEMF therapy has been accepted for some time in many countries. In 1979 the United States FDA approved the use of PEMF devices for healing of non-union bone fractures. Later, in 1998 they approved PEMF for urinary incontinence and muscle stimulation. Depression and anxiety were added to the FDA approval list in 2006.
PEMF therapy is approved for the treatment of many conditions in Canada. Likewise, trauma healing along with pain and degeneration are on the approved list for the European Union. In Isreal, PEMF is approved for the treatment of migraine headaches.
