Therapies Offered

Lymphatic Drainage

Electro-Lymphatic Therapy (ELT) uses state-of-the-art tools to precisely target and unclog coagulated pockets of lymph located in the lymph nodes or in lymphatic pathways throughout the body.

ELT is a great way to get lymph moving when congestion is severe.  ELT is painless and as relaxing as regular lymphatic massage. It is a great way to target deep organs and the skull for sinus drainage and headaches.

Lymphatic Massage, properly called Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), is the traditional method of moving lymph in order to drain swollen areas of the body and return the excess fluid to the circulatory system so it may be excreted from the body.

This therapy is available for anyone unable to use Electro-Lymphatic Therapy or who prefers a hands-on touch.

Cupping Therapy is an ancient technique that helps rid the body of chemicals, loosen stiff muscles, and free up and soften stuck down, tough scar.  While massage allows us to push and pull as therapists, cupping allows us to lift tissue.  This mechanical advantage is profoundly effective.

Cupping is a relaxing therapy that leaves you feeling free and revitalized.

Kinesio Tape Therapy is an effective adjunct therapy to Lymphatic Drainage to help reduce swelling from injury, surgery, or Lymphedema.

KT Therapy can be used under compression to facilitate lymphatic movement long after therapy sessions have ended.

Kinesiotape can also be used to reduce scar tissue – even old scars.  It can be used post-operatively once the scars have knitted – usually around the 3 week mark.

Therapeutic Massage

Medical Massage is a special technique that adapts to various medical needs of clients including paralysis, medically implanted devices like ports and colostomy bags, and medical conditions such as congestive heart failure and ulcers.

Above all, the goal of medical massage is to provide relief while keeping the client safe.

Oncology Massage is a type of massage that is safe for people who have or have had cancer.

Oncology Massage takes into account treatments such as surgery, chemo, and radiation and makes modifications to ensure that the negative side effects of these treatments are reduced while not causing harm to tissues that may be delicate due to these treatments.

Myofascial Release is an effective manual technique that can be used to relieve, reduce, or eliminate scar tissues and adhesions caused from injury, surgery, or tissue strain.

Myofascial Release is commonly used post-operatively to improve range of motion and to address areas of pain caused from less than optimal healing patterns of tissue.

Alternative Therapies

Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency (PEMF) Therapy is a decades-old researched and proven technology that is used for everything from tissue regeneration (post-operatively) to reducing inflammation throughout the body.

PEMF Therapy has been shown to drastically improve bone growth while facilitating tissue repair.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, alternative technique designed to reduce pain and bring the body into an extremely relaxed state.

This unique treatment is commonly used by specially trained osteopaths, chiropractors, and massage therapists to treat chronic pain, insomnia, migraines, PTSD, and other conditions.

Compression Therapy

Compression Stockings & Sleeves

Compression Stockings & Sleeves

Compression stockings and sleeves help to keep swelling under control if you have a chronic condition such as lymphedema or chronic venous insufficiency.

As a certified fitter, I can help you find the right pair of stockings or the right sleeve.  There are more styles to choose from than you can imagine.  Let me help you find something that you will be happy to wear instead of stick in your drawer.

Compression Bandaging is a therapy that I use both in-office during the session (which is removed before you leave) and as a therapy that you might choose to wear home if your swelling is more serious.

Compression Bandaging is one of the most effective ways to reduce swelling quickly.
