Great Products for Lymphedema and Lipedema
Folks with Lymphedema and Lipedema often have issues with their skin and finding products that help rather than irritate the skin can be challenging.
Below are several products that I recommend to my clients for their skin care.
Skin Care Products for Lymphedema and Lipedema
(Contains Ammonium lactate)
Ammonium lactate is recommended by doctors to help with extreme dryness, flaking and thickened skin.
It helps to soften and eventually dissolve these problem areas.
Fragrance Free (Contains Urea)
Urea is another substance recommended by doctors that, like ammonium lactate, helps to soften and dissolve hardened, flaking, and thickened skin.
Sweet Bee Magic All In One Healing Skin Cream
(Great under compression garments or bandages
and helps with dry, flaky skin)
Castor Oil – Organic Cold-Pressed
(Great under bandages and compression garments.
Wonderful for softening skin and reducing scar tissue.
It is very thick and you must give it time to sink into the skin.
Can be used together with Bee Magic.)
Cleansing Bars/Soaps for Lymphedema and Lipedema
(Also Great for Helping with Itching
Caused by Lymphedema & Lipedema.
You can use this together with Neem Oil Soap.
Hold both bars together while soaping up in the shower.)
Pain Relief for Lymphedema and Lipedema
Life-Flo Magnesium Lotion
(Also effective, but slower than gel or oil.
Absorbs like most other lotions.)
Life-Flo Pure Magnesium Oil
(Also works well, not as fast as the gel.
Needs to soak in so doesn’t stain clothing.)
